Crew2™ was founded in 1986 as a family-owned single location workroom for installation of flooring products. Cousins, Doug and Perry Firkus, used their extensive experience as flooring installers to gather other flooring installers, oversee their work and sell flooring installation services to a variety of clients in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis & St. Paul, MN.

Over the next ten years, the business grew, adding more workrooms and more clients. Between 1997 and 2006, we expanded into 12 states in the Upper Midwest. We took a broad view of installation services, becoming a general contractor to retain and grow the flooring business and add non-flooring products such as doors, kitchens, window treatments, water-heaters. We now have over 7 years experience managing multiple programs for a national player in retail home improvement stores. In addition, Crew2 recently added to its service line, by acquiring franchises for Chem-Dry, the most advanced carpet cleaning system available today.

Crew2 prides itself on delivering top notch service and quality. We understand that customers have several companies to choose from and we are always delighted when they choose Crew2. We set high standards for our team members and expect them to keep customers informed and assure them of excellent installers. Not surprisingly, we always warranty our work.

Though we have grown over the years, including a new 54,000 square foot facility built in 2003 for our headquarters in Minneapolis, we are still family-owned. Doug and Perry have now been joined by other family members – Denise (Doug’s wife) and Steve (Doug’s brother). Together they have grown the business to employ over 150 employees. We are committed to the communities we work in and the families of our employees. With integrity and determination, Crew2 has been successful for 20 years and the future holds endless promise.
